We are located in Tarbert, the village capital of the Isle of Harris, in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland.
Tarbert means isthmus, in this case the small spit of land between East and West Loch Tarbert, and we are ideally situated to explore Harris, Lewis and the other Hebridean islands.
The Isle of Harris is an island of great scenic diversity, from the golden sands and fertile machair lands of the west coast, contrasting with the rocky east side with countless deep sea lochs, and the more mountainous north of Harris, the highest peak of which is An Clisham at 2621 feet.
You can travel by car ferry with Caledonian MacBrayne from:
· Isle of Skye to Tarbert.
· North Uist to Leverburgh, then drive 40 minutes north to Tarbert.
· Ullapool to Stornoway, then drive 60 minutes south to Tarbert.
Alternatively, you can fly with Loganair to Stornoway from:
Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Inverness.
